You can trade these resources, or use them to upgrade your castles and train stronger units.* Forge alliances, or threaten and backstab your way to power. Overall, it turned out to be a pretty large disappointment. The controls were really confusing and the battles were really hard to follow. The graphics were not not really that great and kind of choppy at times. It seems like the developers have abandoned the game as well, so it probably isn't going to get any better.
